A well-established higher education provider in Central London is seeking a Student Finance Officer to join its student finance team on a permanent basis.This is a key role supporting the administration, monitoring and reconciliation of student funding, with a particular focus on Student Finance England (SFE) and Student Loans Company (SLC) processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Student Finance to ensure accurate loan administration, attendance-related funding confirmations, and reliable reporting across student finance activity.

This opportunity would suit someone with proven higher education student finance experience who is confident handling detailed funding processes, maintaining accurate records, and working across systems and departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer student finance processes relating to Student Finance England.
  • Support the monitoring, reconciliation and maintenance of student funding records
  • Track and monitor attendance data for funding confirmation purposes
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across student finance administration
  • Produce clear reports and assist with the interpretation of data trends
  • Maintain accurate student records across relevant systems and funding portals
  • Provide support across departments where student finance information and reporting is required
  • Assist with wider student finance administration and compliance activity as needed

About you

To be considered, you should have:

  • Substantial experience administering SFE/SLC student finance processes within a higher education setting
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using student records systems and relevant funding portals
  • The ability to manage complex data accurately and produce clear reports
  • Writes and speak with ease
  • Good to advanced Excel skills
  • Confidence using a range of digital systems and AI tools
