About the Role

In this role, you will deliver high‑quality ESOL teaching to learners at a range of levels. You will plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons, assess learner progress, and support students in achieving their individual learning goals. You'll work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive teaching team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredited ESOL programmes to adult learners.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Create and adapt your own high‑quality teaching materials.
  • Assess learners' starting points and complete accurate ILPs (Individual Learning Plans).
  • Track and record learner progress in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Use strong IT skills to support teaching, learning, and administration.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognised teaching qualification, such as:
    • TESOL
    • CELTA
    • CertTESOL
    • PGCE, DET, or equivalent
  • Experience delivering accredited ESOL courses.
  • Strong lesson‑planning and course‑preparation skills.
  • Confident in assessing learning levels and setting appropriate targets.
  • Competent IT skills, including use of digital learning tools.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent organisation and time‑management skills.

You'll be delivering high‑quality training to the next generation of electrical professionals, covering a range of low‑voltage principles, installation practices, inspection & testing, and wider electrical safety content. Full training will be provided, alongside a structured development and upskilling programme. You'll be based at a modern, purpose‑built technical training centre featuring industry‑leading facilities - including dedicated low‑voltage and high‑voltage environments designed to support hands‑on, real‑world learning. During the first 5-6 months, you may be required to travel nationally to shadow courses before delivery at additional sites including Liverpool and York. Occasional travel may still be required beyond this period. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom and workshop‑based training in low‑voltage electrical systems, installation principles, and related modules. Provide instruction, demonstrations, and assessments for delegates on LV Operator and associated electrical safety training programmes. Prepare and update lesson plans, schemes of work, and training materials in line with industry standards. Conduct assessments, observations and practical evaluations to ensure learners meet competency requirements. Maintain accurate learner records, assessments, compliance paperwork and progress documentation. Ensure all training activities meet technical, awarding‑body, and safety standards. Travel to other UK sites as required during the initial onboarding period. Essential Requirements Strong industrial background with proven experience working on low‑voltage electrical systems. Confident and competent in delivering or demonstrating LV electrical principles. Ideally operating at AP (Authorised Person) status or equivalent experience. Up‑to‑date technical knowledge of electrical standards, regulation and safe working practices. Full UK Driver's Licence. Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to engage a wide range of learners. Level 3 Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, AET or equivalent). Level 3 Assessor Qualification (CAVA, TAQA or equivalent).
