Apprenticeship Skills Consultant: Construction South Yorkshire

The Protocol Group is working with a client who are embarking on the next stage of their ambitious plans and are seeking a motivated skills consultant to understand the complex needs of employers and help provide them with innovative solutions in line with our funding streams. Skilled consultants thrive on building relationships with employers and helping to promote the Group's offer whilst ensuring our full-time learners have a clear route to the world of work by sourcing apprenticeship placements for them. You will be tenacious and motivated with the ability to quickly build rapport with clients on all levels.

  • As a Skills consultant you will be responsible for building relationships with employers across the local area with a keen focus on our existing portfolio of clients.
  • While account management forms a key part of the role you must be able to establish, maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships through referrals, self-generation using a variety of sales methods
  • As a target focused individual you must be capable of meeting challenging targets on learner starts and appointments whilst maintaining the quality of our offer to employers.
  • You will undertake the required administrative tasks associated with the role, such as the coordination of tests and examinations and other record keeping.
  • You will ensure effective use of the CRM database, ensuring all reports are generated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all employer opportunities meet Health & Safety requirements undertaking assessments as per the college guidelines including recording and logging all relevant essential documentation to comply with audit & inspections requirements.
  • Take ownership of the communication from the group, work with marketing to create content our employers want to see and ensure it is promoted via the appropriate channels

Requirements:

  • Experience in meeting client expectations.
  • Delivery of goals and targets.
  • Experience of apprenticeships and staff training.
  • Experience of working in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Knowledge of current Apprenticeship Frameworks/standards.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training.
  • Be willing to apply for a DBS check (through the college).
