Animal Care Lecturer

Location: FE College, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary until June 2026
Hours Available: 37 hours and 18.5 hours
Pay: £25-£28 per hour (depending on experience)

An FE College in South Yorkshire is seeking two Animal Care Lecturers to join their team on a temporary basis until June 2026. Both full‑time and part‑time hours available.

About the Role

You will deliver engaging and quality teaching to learners across Levels 1 to 3 in Animal Care, ensuring students gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for progression into further study or employment. You will be responsible for planning lessons, delivering classroom and practical sessions, assessing learner work, and contributing to a positive learning experience.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching Animal Care at Levels 1-3 is essential
  • A recognised teaching qualification (TQ) is preferred, but strong candidates without one will still be considered
  • Industry experience within the Animal Care sector would be beneficial
  • A commitment to supporting learners and maintaining high teaching standards
