About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Lecturer to join a welcoming Further Education college in South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to achieve their potential.

You will deliver engaging and accessible learning to students with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, communication challenges, or social/emotional barriers. You will work closely with support staff and curriculum teams to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons for SEND learners
  • Adapt materials and teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and other specialist staff
  • Track, assess, and review learner progress
  • Contribute to learner EHCP reviews where required
  • Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

About You

  • Experienced in working with SEND learners in an FE or school setting
  • Confident with behaviour support and differentiated teaching
  • Organised, resilient, and adaptable
  • A strong communicator who works well within a team
