BTEC Assignment Marker / Lecturer

Location: FE College in Cambridge
Contract: Full‑time, Temporary (likely until end of summer term)
Start Date: 14th April 2026
Rate: £14 per hour

An FE College in Cambridge is seeking an experienced BTEC Assignment Marker/Lecturer to join its team on a temporary basis, supporting the curriculum through to the end of the summer term.

This role will play a key part in ensuring the timely, accurate, and high‑quality marking of BTEC learner assignments, with a particular focus on the Travel and Tourism curriculum area. Working closely with the curriculum team, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of assessment, feedback, and internal verification processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mark and assess BTEC assignments in line with awarding body specifications
  • Provide clear, constructive, and developmental feedback to learners
  • Support internal verification processes where required
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum staff to maintain quality and consistency
  • Ensure deadlines are met with excellent attention to detail

We Welcome Applications from Candidates Who Can Demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in marking BTEC assignments
  • Ideally, a background in Travel and Tourism (teaching or industry)
  • Alternatively, substantial BTEC teaching experience in related subject areas
  • A solid understanding of BTEC assessment criteria and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to marking deadlines

Rate: £14 per hour
