Health & Care Lecturer - Clinical Skills Specialist (Part-Time)

We are currently working on behalf of a well-established Further Education provider in Merseyside to recruit a Health & Care Lecturer - Clinical Skills Specialist on a part-time basis (approx. 0.4 FTE).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional or qualified lecturer to support learners studying Health & Social Care and T Level Health programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Health & Social Care, with a focus on clinical skills
  • Support learners in developing practical competencies aligned to healthcare settings
  • Contribute to outstanding student outcomes and progression into healthcare careers
  • Provide guidance, assessment and feedback to support learner achievement

About You:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in a health-related subject
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Experience in clinical practice (e.g. adult nursing or similar healthcare environments preferred)
  • Ability to engage and inspire learners aged 16-19

We are seeking a friendly and organised Learner Recruitment & Receptionist to join a client with campuses across South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service, while supporting prospective and current learners through their journey from initial enquiry to enrolment. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment, promoting our courses, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all visitors and students. Act as the first point of contact for visitors, learners, and stakeholders, providing a welcoming and professional reception service. Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses or appropriate signposting. Support learner recruitment activities, including open days, enrolment events, and outreach initiatives. Provide information, advice, and guidance to prospective learners on courses, entry requirements, and application processes. Maintain accurate learner records and databases, ensuring all information is up to date and handled in line with data protection requirements. Assist with application processing, enrolment administration, and onboarding of new learners. Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and support services to ensure a smooth learner journey from enquiry to enrolment. Ensure reception and front-of-house areas remain organised, presentable, and compliant with health and safety standards. Have you got what it takes Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role, ideally within an education or public sector environment. Have a professional, friendly, and approachable manner with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and database systems. You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths or be willing to work towards. Hold a DBS on the update service and be willing to complete compliance checks.
