Engineering Lecturer - College Opportunity

Salary: £34,059 - £40,951
Location: Leicestershire
Full-time | Permanent | 37 hours

I'm currently working with a college that's looking to bring in an Engineering Lecturer to join their team. It's a great opportunity for someone from either an education or industry background who's keen to pass on their knowledge and support the next generation.

The role

You'll be delivering a mix of theoretical and practical engineering teaching across Levels 2-5 (including T-Levels). The focus is around core areas such as:

  • Electrical & electronic principles
  • Engineering maths
  • Practical workshop/project work
  • Circuit building, testing and fault finding

You'll also be responsible for tracking learner progress, carrying out assessments, and helping maintain strong achievement rates.

What they're looking for

  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) or solid industry experience
  • Maths & English at Level 2 (or equivalent)
  • Teaching qualification is ideal, but not essential - they'll support you in gaining this
  • Someone confident with both hands-on and classroom delivery
  • Basic IT skills and ability to support remote learning when needed

They're open to candidates coming straight from industry if you've got the right attitude and want to move into teaching.

What's on offer

  • Strong salary up to £40,951
  • 44 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Teachers' pension
  • Fully funded teaching qualification if needed
  • Great training and development
  • Additional benefits including wellbeing support, discounts, cycle scheme, and on-site nursery

Interested?

If this sounds like something you'd be open to exploring, drop me a message and I can run you through the details.
