Student Records System Implementation Lead - Further Education
Birmingham
Full time hours - Monday to Friday (Hybrid working available 1 day from home)
Two year fixed term contract
£70,000 - £75,000 per annum

As Student Records System Implementation Lead you will be working within the Student Systems, data and information reporting team and leading on the development, programme management and subsequent implementation of a new student records system across the College.

Main Responsibilities;

  • To work with the Director to plan and lead on the operational implementation of a new student records system across the College
  • To work in partnership with senior and operational leaders to determine business requirements and influence process efficiencies to be gained, including increased automation of processes and improvement in the management of data quality.
  • To ensure the implementation programme has the continuous improvement of the student experience at the centre of the plan and aligns with the College's values and mission
  • To work in partnership with the Student Systems and Web Development Lead and their team to ensure a seamless transition from the current Student Records system to the new system
  • To take a risk-based approach in the oversight of design, configuration and implementation of a new system.
  • To plan for technical implementation ensuring student data held on the outgoing system is successfully migrated, and where agreed, suitable interfaces are in place for the new system to ensure there is no break in data flow between other College systems, such as Finance, Timetabling etc
  • To ensure the implementation of the new system is fully compliant with relevant legal and statutory reporting frameworks and aligns with the colleges cyber security policy and protocols

Have you got what it takes?

  • Proven experience in leading complex change programmes ideally in large-scale business or student systems transformation
  • Successful track record of business process improvement
  • Strong working knowledge of student records systems and the role they hold within Further Education organisations.
