ESOL Tutor - Get Ready for Speaking & Listening (Entry 1)

Hours: Tuesdays & Fridays, 09:30 - 12:30
Contract: Temporary (2nd June - 21st July)
Reason: Sickness cover
WEA are seeking an experienced and engaging ESOL Tutor to deliver a short-term course covering speaking and listening skills at Entry Level 1.
This is a fixed-term opportunity to support adult learners in developing essential communication skills in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging ESOL sessions focused on speaking and listening (Entry 1)
- Support learners to build confidence in everyday communication
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with course objectives
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate learner records in line with WEA requirements
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
Requirements:
- Experience teaching ESOL, ideally at Entry Level
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, TESOL, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
- Good organisational and communication skills
