Learning Support Assistant (Part-Time) Wirral Department: Additional Needs (AN) Start Date: September 2026 (new academic year) Hours: Part-time (flexible hours to be discussed) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join the Additional Needs (AN) team at a further education college in Wirral. These are part-time positions starting in September 2026 , supporting learners with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in providing in-class support, promoting independence, and helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs Assist lecturers in delivering differentiated learning activities Support students with EHCPs, SEND needs, or barriers to learning Help students develop independence, confidence, and study skills Contribute to monitoring student progress and wellbeing Maintain accurate records in line with college procedures About You We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with young people or adults with additional needs (desirable) Is patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education Has strong communication and teamwork skills Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant support or education qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning) Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach Protocol: The Protocol Group is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing an inclusive and professional service for all.
