Learning Support Assistant - Further Education (Manchester Area) Manchester and surrounding areas Hourly paid - Flexible daytime hours available £12-£14 per hour About the Role Protocol is working in partnership with a number of well-established Further Education colleges across the Manchester area. We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our talent pool ahead of upcoming opportunities in the new academic year. This is a great opportunity to work in dynamic FE environments, supporting learners to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide in-class, 1:1, and small group support across a range of subjects. Collaborate closely with lecturers and college support teams to deliver tailored support. Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning. Support students with EHCPs and adapt approaches to meet individual needs. Assist with monitoring learner progress and providing feedback when required. You Will Ideally Have Previous experience supporting learners aged 16+ in education, care, or similar settings. A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent). Strong communication skills with a patient and empathetic approach. The ability to motivate and engage young people in an educational setting. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Protocol).
