About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join the Additional Needs (AN) team at a further education college in Wirral. These are part-time positions starting in September 2026, supporting learners with a range of additional needs to achieve their full potential.
You will play a key role in providing in-class support, promoting independence, and helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs
  • Assist lecturers in delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Support students with EHCPs, SEND needs, or barriers to learning
  • Help students develop independence, confidence, and study skills
  • Contribute to monitoring student progress and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records in line with college procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with young people or adults with additional needs (desirable)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant support or education qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning)
  • Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach

Head of Estates Basingstoke Full time hours Interim (6 months) £250 - £300 day rate To ensure the effective development and high quality management of the college's estate and excellent service from contractors and suppliers.
