GCSE Maths Lecturer (Full Time)

Annual salary of £37,140 - £43,977 plus all other employee benefits.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate GCSE Maths Lecturer to join a Further Education setting in Bury on a full-time basis for the full academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons to learners of varying abilities
  • Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Support students to achieve their target grades and build confidence in maths
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and provide feedback to students and staff
  • Contribute positively to the wider teaching team and learning environment
Requirements
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching within Further Education (FE)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and familiarity with GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to supporting learner development and achievement

You will work closely with teaching staff, curriculum teams, and support services to ensure learners receive the right level of guidance, encouragement, and personalised support both in and out of the classroom. Key Responsibilities Learner Support - Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to learners with SEND, learning difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs. Classroom Assistance - Support teaching staff with lesson delivery, differentiation, and behaviour management.
