Construction Lecturer

West London | Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + DOE

Are you an experienced construction professional looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking a Construction Lecturer to join a well-established further education provider in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

The role may involve delivering across a range of construction programmes depending on your experience and specialism. We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Carpentry & Joinery
  • Plumbing
  • Gas Engineering
  • Multi-Skills Construction
  • Property Maintenance
  • Construction Operations
  • Building Services

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging practical and classroom-based sessions, supporting learners to develop the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours required to succeed within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and training
  • Planning lessons and schemes of work
  • Assessing learner progress and achievement
  • Providing pastoral and academic support
  • Maintaining a safe and productive workshop environment
  • Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement

About You

We are interested in hearing from:

  • Qualified Construction Lecturers
  • Assessors and Apprenticeship Trainers
  • Experienced Tradespeople looking to move into education
  • Supervisors, Site Managers and Lead Operatives with mentoring or training experience

You will ideally possess:

  • Relevant industry qualifications
  • Strong occupational experience within construction
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to supporting learner success

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, as support may be available for the right candidate moving into education.
