The Protocol Group is currently looking to connect with English and Maths Lecturers, Tutors, Assessors, Trainers and Education Professionals across Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford and the surrounding areas of Yorkshire who may be interested in opportunities within Further Education Colleges and Training Providers.

These opportunities are expected to begin from September and may include both short-term and long-term assignments.

Various hours are available, including part-time and full-time positions. If you're looking for a permanent role, we'd still love to hear from you as we may be able to support with those opportunities too.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Experience teaching or training learners aged 16+
  • Experience delivering Functional Skills, GCSE and/or A-Level English or Maths
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, DET or equivalent preferred)
  • Relevant subject qualifications in English, Maths or a related discipline
  • Experience working within Further Education, Sixth Form, Adult Education or Training environments
  • Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
  • Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one) and be happy to complete out compliance checks prior to placements.

Security and Pastoral Officer South Yorkshire FE College 37 hours per week - Temporary position for 3 months cover. £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay) Protocol are working with a client based in Doncaster who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security and Pastoral Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in security who is passionate about supporting young people and helping to maintain a safe, secure and positive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students, staff and visitors across the college campus, whilst also providing pastoral support where required. Maintain a visible security presence across the campus. Monitor and respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns and security breaches. Operate and monitor CCTV systems in accordance with relevant procedures. Support students with pastoral and welfare-related issues where appropriate. Assist with managing student behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. Conduct routine security patrols of buildings and grounds. Liaise with safeguarding teams, staff and external agencies as required. Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records. Support emergency procedures and evacuation processes when necessary. Requirements: Previous experience working within a security role. Experience working within an educational setting or with young and/or vulnerable people is highly desirable. Hold a valid SIA Licence. Hold a CCTV Operator Licence/qualification. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
