GCSE English Lecturer

Location: Merseyside (Various FE Colleges)
Contract: Full-Time & Part-Time | Temporary & Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are recruiting GCSE English Lecturers for a range of Further Education colleges across Merseyside. Opportunities are available on both a temporary and permanent basis, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging GCSE English lessons.
  • Support students to achieve their target grades.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding requirements.

Requirements

  • Level 5 or above teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
  • Degree or relevant qualification in English or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student success.

Desirable

  • Previous Further Education (FE) teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.
  • Experience supporting learners with diverse needs.
