Head of Recruitment (Interim)

FE College Group £400 - £550 per day Temporary Ongoing Contract (Expected to January 2027 with Potential Extension)

We are currently recruiting for an exciting Head of Recruitment opportunity with a leading Further Education College Group. This is an interim assignment on a temporary ongoing basis, expected to run until January 2027, with the possibility of extension.

This role offers a competitive day rate of £400 - £550, depending on experience, and presents an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a large and evolving education organisation.

About the Role

As Head of Recruitment, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the College Group's recruitment strategy while ensuring operational excellence across the full recruitment lifecycle. This is a highly visible position requiring both strategic leadership and a hands-on approach to attracting, engaging, and securing high-quality talent.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, supporting workforce planning initiatives, enhancing employer brand presence, and driving innovative recruitment solutions to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver the College Group's recruitment strategy and attraction plans
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across a range of academic and professional services vacancies
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and hiring managers
• Develop and execute engaging recruitment marketing campaigns across job boards, social media, and other attraction channels
• Champion employer branding initiatives to raise the profile and reputation of the College Group
• Identify and implement improvements to recruitment processes, candidate experience, and hiring outcomes
• Support the organisation through periods of change and evolving workforce requirements
• Monitor recruitment performance, providing insight and recommendations to key stakeholders

About You

We are seeking an experienced recruitment professional who can hit the ground running and quickly add value.

The ideal candidate will be:

• An experienced Recruitment Manager or Head of Recruitment with a proven track record of delivering successful recruitment strategies
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable leading through change and adapting to evolving organisational needs
• Passionate about employer branding and candidate attraction
• Experienced in creating and managing recruitment campaigns across a variety of attraction channels
• Proactive, innovative, and solutions-focused, with the confidence to introduce new ideas and improvements
• Skilled at building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing at all levels
• Experienced in managing complex recruitment projects and high-volume hiring requirements
