Games Lecturer (0.5 FTE)

Due to course numbers, we are now recruiting for a 0.5 FTE Games Lecturer rather than a full-time position.

The role involves teaching Games Development across Level 2 and Level 3, with delivery currently scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of 3D software, particularly Blender
  • 3D Animation
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete/update DBS clearance)

Administer and support cloud services, physical and virtual servers, Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Investigate, analyse and resolve network and infrastructure incidents and technical issues. Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to resilience and reliability. Support and maintain critical business applications and systems. Manage firewalls, DNS, DHCP and virtual machine deployment. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. Contribute to infrastructure security and stability projects. Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure compliance with data protection requirements. Essential Requirements We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate: Experience and understanding of network infrastructure, including AWS Cloud Services, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and virtual technologies . Experience working within cloud and virtualised environments , including AWS, VMware and Microsoft technologies . Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues . Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines . Desirable Experience in a customer-facing IT role. Relevant IT qualifications or certifications such as MCSE or equivalent. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Additional Information Full-time, 37 hours per week . On-site role . Immediate start preferred. Temporary assignment running until 18 December . Hourly rate of £20-£22 , dependent on experience.
