We are currently recruiting for experienced SEN Teachers and SEN Tutors to work across a range of specialist education settings throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and South Yorkshire.

These opportunities are available on both a temporary and permanent basis, with roles ranging from classroom-based teaching positions to 1:1 and small-group tutoring assignments.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working within Alternative Provision (AP), Specialist Schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), SEMH settings, or other specialist educational environments.

The Role

Successful candidates will support learners with a variety of additional needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• ADHD
• Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs
• Behavioural and Emotional Challenges

Responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging and personalised learning programmes.
• Teaching and supporting students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups.
• Adapting lesson content to meet individual learning needs.
• Building positive relationships with students, families and support staff.
• Monitoring progress and contributing to educational outcomes.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as an SEN Teacher and/or SEN Tutor.
• Experience supporting learners with additional educational needs.
• Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working within an Alternative Provision, PRU, Specialist School, or SEMH setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills, GCSE, vocational, or intervention programmes.
• Team Teach, MAPA, or other relevant behaviour management training.
