Location: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire (travel across at least two campuses required, mileage paid)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hart Learning & Development is looking for a passionate and motivated Employability Tutor to join our growing team. Whether you're an experienced tutor, a teacher looking for a new challenge, or a professional with strong employability, training or coaching experience looking to move into education, we'd love to hear from you.

You do not need to hold a teaching qualification to apply. If you have the right skills, enthusiasm and commitment to supporting people into work, we will support your development.

This rewarding role involves delivering short employability and digital skills programmes to unemployed adults across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, helping learners develop the confidence, knowledge and practical skills they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further learning.

Hart Learning & Development, part of North Hertfordshire College, delivers apprenticeships, adult learning and professional training programmes across the region and throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

As an Employability Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging, high-quality employability and digital skills training programmes.
• Assess learners' needs and create tailored learning plans and targets.
• Support learners to achieve positive outcomes, including employment, apprenticeships, qualifications and progression opportunities.
• Provide ongoing academic and pastoral support to help learners overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
• Manage learner administration, including enrolments, registrations, assessments and attendance records.
• Identify and support Additional Learning Support (ALS) requirements where needed.
• Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback and guidance.
• Deliver training flexibly across multiple locations and learning environments.
• Conduct assessments and maintain learner portfolios in line with awarding body requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, standardisation activities and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with a range of backgrounds, including education, training, employability, recruitment, careers advice, coaching, customer service or industry experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience delivering training, teaching, coaching or group-based learning sessions.
• A passion for helping people build confidence and achieve their career goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and administrative abilities.
• Experience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment is desirable.
• An understanding of digital skills and employability topics would be advantageous.
• The ability to travel regularly across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. We are keen to hear from individuals who have the right attitude, transferable skills and a genuine desire to support learners.
