This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HV professional to transition into a rewarding training career, with full support and training provided.


Important Travel Requirement

Please note: This role will involve national travel for the first 6 months while you complete your training and induction programme.

During this period, you will be required to attend and deliver training at locations across the UK, with occasional overnight stays where necessary. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.

Following the initial training period, travel will become more regionally focused.


The Role

As an HV Electrical Trainer, you will deliver industry-leading training programmes focused on:

  • High Voltage Operations
  • Safe Systems of Work
  • Electrical Safety
  • Switching Procedures
  • Permit to Work Systems
  • Electrical Authorised Person Training

You will be responsible for providing instruction, demonstrations and assessments to delegates undertaking electrical safety and HV training programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective classroom and practical training sessions.
  • Demonstrate safe working practices and industry procedures.
  • Conduct practical and theoretical assessments.
  • Support learners throughout their training journey.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all learners.
  • Maintain high standards of training, assessment and compliance.
  • Work closely with clients, learners and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong industry experience who is passionate about developing others.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working with High Voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HV Safe Systems of Work.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an HV Authorised Person.
  • Experience issuing permits to work and switching schedules.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Level 2 English and Maths.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel nationally during the first 6 months of employment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Current AP Status.
  • Experience within Healthcare, Defence Estates or Industrial environments.
  • Level 3 Assessor Qualification (TAQA, A1 or equivalent).
  • Level 3 Teaching Qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent).
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
