About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Entry Level Admin Support Officer to join a busy and welcoming Further Education College. This temporary position is ideal for someone looking to gain valuable administrative experience within the education sector while supporting both staff and students in a dynamic college environment.

FE colleges provide education and training to students aged 16+ and adult learners, offering vocational, technical, and academic programmes. As part of the administration team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of college operations and helping to create a positive experience for learners and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing general administrative support across college departments
  • Responding to telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate student records and databases
  • Assisting with enrolment, admissions, and learner support processes
  • Preparing documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
  • Data entry, filing, scanning, and document management
  • Supporting reception and visitor services when required

Monitor and support assessors to ensure consistent and accurate assessment decisions. Conduct sampling, standardisation, observation, and quality review activities. Ensure the quality of delivery and assessment meets regulatory and awarding body standards. Provide guidance and support to assessors and delivery staff. Maintain accurate IQA records and documentation. Participate in standardisation meetings and continuous quality improvement activities. Essential Requirements The successful candidate must have: A recognised Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification . Significant industry experience within the plumbing sector. Experience of quality assuring the 9289 Level 3 Plumbing qualification . Relevant plumbing qualifications and occupational competence. Qualifications and/or proven occupational competence in Solar Thermal Systems . Qualifications and/or proven occupational competence in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) .
