Personal Development Tutor 📍 Chester Campus 💷 £20.00 per hour ⏰ 37 hours per week 📅 Temporary Ongoing | Immediate Start Available 🔄 Role reviewed termly Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Personal Development Tutor to join a busy college campus in Chester, providing pastoral, tutorial and personal development support to learners aged 16-19. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience mentoring, supporting or teaching young people who wants to make a real difference to student achievement and wellbeing. Based on the attached job description, the role focuses on delivering engaging tutorials, supporting learner progression and attendance, and promoting safeguarding, equality and employability skills. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging group tutorial sessions covering topics such as employability, British Values, safeguarding, equality and diversity, and personal development. Provide one-to-one support for learners who require additional pastoral intervention. Monitor learner attendance, engagement and progress, taking appropriate action where concerns arise. Support students with target setting, progression planning and career aspirations. Work closely with curriculum staff and support services to ensure learners receive the help they need. Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, resilience and a culture of safeguarding. Essential Requirements Level 3 qualification. GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4/5 or equivalent. Experience delivering sessions to groups of young people. Experience supporting young people with pastoral, welfare or safeguarding-related matters. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities when working with young people. Desirable Teaching, tutoring, mentoring or coaching experience. Experience working within Further Education, education, youth work or a similar setting. Teaching qualification (or working towards one).
