Site Technician Basingstoke Pay Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour Contract: Temporary Ongoing Hours: Full-time or Part-Time, Monday to Friday, minimum 3 days a week (flexibility may be required) Start Date: ASAP Site Technician - College Campus We are currently recruiting for a Site Technician to join a busy and well-established college in Basingstoke . This is an ongoing temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate of £15.00 - £17.00 per hour , depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, reliable individual with maintenance, facilities, caretaking, or site support experience to work within a rewarding educational environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across the college campus. Support the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring facilities remain safe and functional. Assist with room layouts, furniture moves, and event set-ups. Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues. Monitor health and safety standards across the premises. Support opening and closing procedures where required. Liaise with contractors and external service providers. Ensure external areas are maintained, clean, and safe. Assist with deliveries and general site duties. Requirements Previous experience in a Site Technician, Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Operative, or similar role. Good practical DIY and maintenance skills. Understanding of health and safety requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and organisational skills. Enhanced DBS check preferred or willingness to obtain one. A proactive and flexible approach to work. Benefits Competitive pay of £15.00 - £17.00 per hour .
