Cleaning & Facilities Management Tutor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Apprentice Levy Tutor - Cleaning & Facilities Management to support learners working towards apprenticeship qualifications within the cleaning and facilities management sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a training professional or industry specialist who is passionate about developing talent, sharing industry knowledge, and supporting apprentices to achieve their qualifications and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality apprenticeship training in Cleaning and Facilities Management.
  • Support, mentor and coach apprentices throughout their learning journey.
  • Conduct reviews and assessments to monitor learner progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards.
  • Adapt training delivery to suit individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Work closely with line managers and stakeholders to support learner development.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials and delivery methods.
  • Ensure all training and assessment activities meet quality assurance and awarding body requirements.
  • Promote learner engagement, achievement and progression.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and best practice within the facilities management sector.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within Cleaning, Facilities Management, Environmental Services or a related sector.
  • Previous experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, assessing or apprenticeship programmes.
  • Teaching or training qualification such as AET, PTLLS, CTLLS, DET, Cert Ed or PGCE, or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, compliance requirements and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Passion for developing people and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

About You We are looking for someone with strong industry experience who is passionate about developing others. Essential Requirements Proven experience working with High Voltage systems. Strong knowledge of HV Safe Systems of Work. Minimum 3 years' experience working as an HV Authorised Person. Experience issuing permits to work and switching schedules. Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Level 2 English and Maths. Full UK Driving Licence. Willingness to travel nationally during the first 6 months of employment. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Desirable Requirements Current AP Status. Experience within Healthcare, Defence Estates or Industrial environments. Level 3 Assessor Qualification (TAQA, A1 or equivalent). Level 3 Teaching Qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent). HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
