Early Years Lecturer (Level 2, Level 3 & T Level Education and Early Years)

Location: Isleworth

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Lecturer on behalf of a College based in Isleworth who deliver high-quality teaching across our Level 2 Education and T Level Education Early Years programmes.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential and will possess current industry knowledge and practical experience within the Early Years sector.

Teaching Commitment

T Level Education and Early Years

  • Tuesday: 11:20am - 4:20pm (4 teaching hours)
  • Wednesday: 11:20am - 1:20pm and 2:20pm - 4:20pm (4 teaching hours)
  • Thursday: 2:20pm - 4:20pm (2 teaching hours)

Level 2 Education and Early Years

  • Wednesday: 9:00am - 11:00am (2 teaching hours)

Total Teaching Hours: 12 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across Level 2, Level 3 and T Level Education and Early Years programmes.
  • Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Monitor attendance, achievement and student engagement.
  • Maintain accurate student records in line with departmental and awarding body requirements.
  • Support learners to develop both academic and vocational skills relevant to Early Years practice.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout all aspects of teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education or a related subject (Level 3 or above).
  • Industry experience within an Early Years setting.
  • Experience teaching or training learners within Further Education, schools, training providers or related settings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable Requirements

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Certificate in Education, DTLLS or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering T Level, Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in Education and Early Years.
  • Assessor and/or IQA qualifications.
  • Knowledge of current Early Years legislation, frameworks and best practice.
