We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cyber Security Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education college in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the next generation of cyber security professionals through the delivery of BTEC and T Level Cyber Security programmes.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and industry-relevant lessons to Further Education learners, supporting them to achieve their qualifications and develop the practical skills required for a career in cyber security.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality teaching across Cyber Security BTEC and T Level courses.
• Preparing learning materials, assessments and lesson plans.
• Monitoring and assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Maintaining accurate learner records and completing associated administration.
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Keeping up to date with developments within the cyber security sector.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Cyber Security, Computing, Information Security or a related subject.
• Experience teaching or training in Cyber Security, Computing or IT.
• Knowledge of BTEC and/or T Level delivery is desirable.
• A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) is desirable, though industry professionals with training experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for supporting and developing learners.
